Trinity College, founded in 1592 and modeled after Oxford and Cambridge, is the oldest university in Ireland. Trinity College is also home to the world-renowned Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript Gospel book in Latin that contains the four Gospels of the New Testament. Trinity is the alma mater of such luminaries as Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker and Samuel Beckett.
