About Trevi Fountain

This Baroque masterpiece in the Trevi District of Rome could be the most famous fountain in the world. The 86-foot tall by 161-foot wide Trevi Fountain was designed by architect Nicola Salvi and Pietro Bracci with its prominent feature being a statue of Ocean and it was completed in 1762. Italian legend says that visitors who throw a coin in the fountain will be granted a trip back to "The Eternal City." The travertine stone landmark has been featured in many movies including "La Dolce Vita," "Roman Holiday," "Three Coins in a Fountain" and "When in Rome."
