About Tisbury

The Martha's Vineyard town is known best for and its name if often used interchangeably with its biggest village of Vineyard Haven that is the island's main port and site of Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority. Tisbury was settled in 1660 with its namesake being the English town in Wiltshire and included West Tisbury until 1892. Points of interest are The Mansion House, Tisbury Town Beach, Vineyard Haven Port and West Chop Light.
