This natural wonder plunges 390 feet to the Guadalevin River below, dividing the historic Spanish town of Ronda into two distinct districts. Three bridges span the gorge, or tajo: the Puente Romano dating back to Roman times, the Puente Viejo, from Arab times and now used as a pedestrian-only bridge, and the Puente Nueve, an impressive and picturesque bridge completed in the late 18th century. Take a walk to the bottom of the canyon for excellent views, or just take a stroll through the old town district for impressive vistas around every corner.
