About Quepos

Quepos is the capital of Aguirre canton in Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica, and the gateway to Manuel Antonio National Park. Well known for its big game sport fishing, the town also has a fantastic local restaurant scene and a lively nightlife. The town has a brand-new marina, the Pez Vela Marina, from which visitors can take Segway tours to explore the town and its outskirts. Named for the native Quepo Indians, who inhabited the place in the colonial era, the town also features many art galleries and shops.
