About Polynesian Cultural Center

One of Hawaii's most popular attractions is this 42-acre Oahu living museum divided into the eight tropical villages of Hawaii, Fiji, Tahiti, Tonga, Samoa, Aotearoa, Rapa Nui and Other Islands. Polynesian Cultural Center opened in 1963 and is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is in Laie on land owned by Bringham Young University-Hawaii. Visitors can tour the different villages highlighting culture, art and performances from the Polynesian culture, take a canoe ride in the lagoon and enjoy a show live on stage or in the center's IMAX theater. Polynesian Cultural Center also hosts many festivals and luaus.
