About Polar Caves Park

This group of glacial caves that are said to have been created 50,000 years ago is located in the White Mountains in Rumney, New Hampshire. The Polar Caves Park area was home to the Asquamchemauke Native Americans for many years before being found be teenagers in 1922. The park that was named for its cold wind gusts felt when it was first found contains nature trails, gardens, gift shops and the Maple Sugar House & Museum. It also has wildlife such as deer, pheasants and ducks.
