The Main Square, or Piazza Grande, in Montepulciano sits atop the tallest hill in the city. Follow the Corso, a seven-mile road that winds up the hill and ends in the square. At the summit you’ll find the Communal Palace, the Church of St. Agnes (patron saint of the city), and a well topped by sculpted lions and birds. Don’t miss out on all this Renaissance town has to offer.
