This 15th-century Gothic church is where Juan Sebastian Elcano, the first man to sail around the world after the captain of his ship, Magellan, died halfway through the voyage, was baptized. The Parish Church of San Salvador also sits atop the Arch of Catrapona, a medieval passageway that houses a chapel for sailors.
