Mānana Island is an uninhabited island located off Kaupō Beach. The island is commonly refereed to as Rabbit Island by locals because the shape of the island is believed to look similar to a rabbit's head from far, and because the island was once inhabited by rabbits. Mānana Island has one sand beach, which is also a storm beach located on the west side of the island.
