Experience Hermann-Grima House Day Trips & Sightseeing Tours

Go back in time to the Golden Age of New Orleans as you tour this exquisite historic home restored wonderfully to its magnificent 18th century appearance. Guests will hear fascinating stories about the people who lived during that time working and residing at the Federal mansion and the women who preserve the French Quarter property. Hermann-Grima House was constructed in 1831 by German Jewish immigrant Samuel Hermann who prospered greatly through the cotton industry. It was later purchased by Judge Felix Grima in 1844 and then the Christian Woman’s Exchange in 1922. After restoration, the women's organization opened the famous estate as a house museum in 1971.
