About Girona Cathedral

This cathedral has been part of Girona’s landscape since the 11th century. It was begun in the Romanesque style and continued in the Gothic style in the 13th century. Today it also displays Baroque facades. It boasts the widest Gothic nave in the world, measuring 72 feet across, and it has one bell tower that can be seen from most of the city since the cathedral sits at the highest point of Girona. Next to the cathedral, tourists can also visit the former Episcopal Palace that now serves as the Girona Art Museum.
