About Evansville

The town of Evansville, Wyoming, is the location of the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery. The town was settled in the early 1902 by blacksmith W.T. Evans, who built a successful ranch on the area which is now Evansville. The town is named after Evans, and was established in 1923. The town is part of the Casper, Wyoming Metropolitan Statistical Area.
