About Daytona International Speedway

The Daytona Beach, Florida 480-acre race track is the site of NASCAR's biggest annual competition - The Daytona 500 - and many other contests. Daytona International Speedway was built by NASCAR founder William France in 1958 to replace the Daytona Beach Road Course. It has a 2.5-mile tri-oval super-speedway, a 3.56-mile road course for sports cars, a 2.95-mile motorcycle course, a .25-mile motorcycle flat-track and a 180-acre infield.
