About Covent Garden

This district on the eastern fringe of the West End has long been associated with its vast fruit and vegetable market and today is known for its superb shopping and as a tourist destination. Covent Garden is home to the Royal Opera House, the Covent Garden Piazza, the city’s first planned square with quaint arcades and outdoor cafes; and, of course, the actual Covent Garden, the market that also includes permanent bakeries, chocolate shops and delis.
