About Buda Castle

This historic castle and palace complex of the Hungarian kings was built on the southern tip of Castle Hill. Buda Castle is part of the Budapest UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its Royal Palace, the main structure of Buda Castle, contains two important museums, the National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum, as well as the National Szechenyi Library.
