About Bern

Switzerland’s capital city is located in the heart of the country. Even now it has a medieval appearance with old town’s fountains and sandstone facades. In fact, old town Bern is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is also home to the Houses of Parliament and the embassies in Switzerland. Shoppers love its promenades, which protect from the winter elements. In the summer, enjoy swimming in the River Aare and strolling through the riverside Botanical Gardens. While in Bern, also stop by the Albert Einstein House and the nearby Einstein Museum.
