About Acropolis

One of the most visited and iconic structures in the world is this ancient symbol of Greece. The Acropolis of Athens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that UNESCO says symbolizes "the idea of world heritage," is a must-see-before-you-die sight that has been standing since the 5th century B.C. It is crowned by the monumental Parthenon, which can be seen from almost everywhere throughout the city. The Acropolis also includes the Propylaia, its entrance; the Temple of Athena Nike; and the Erechtheion, which comprises six maiden columns, aka the Caryatids.
