Located in central Kenya and just 100km north of Kenya, Aberdare covers a wide variety of terrains and elevations, including the high reaches of the Aberdare Mountain Range, moorland, bamboo forests, rainforest, and deep v-shaped valleys. Home to the largest population of black rhino, the park also houses easily observable leopards, sykes monkeys, giant forest hogs, african elephants, and african goshawks - as well as the rarer golden cat and bongos.
