This is an awesome tour. Everything was perfect. The hotels, bus and attractions.
You just need to plan on some extra money for the attractions.
I really enjoyed it

The itinerary is great, except the CN tower. You can skip this and the IMAX Theatre experience. The tour guide walks too fast not giving consideration to older people who are having a hard time catching up with her. We wasted a lot of time ..at the border patrol offices because of some people who do not have proper documentation. The tour company should check the documents before leaving for the tour. Altogether, no regrets at having joined this tour. My family had a great time except for these minor hiccups.Read full review
This was an interesting way to see California at a very fast pace.
If it was on the printed itinerary you saw it and was told about it, if it popped up along the way, no one knew what it was. EG, the Dam for the water supply to LA was not ..commented on until I asked about it. As was the area of the Bay of San Francisco where the land was divided into squares beside a very low roadway, on the way to Stamford University. No one knew why.
We had been warned about the dual language, english/chinese so this was not a drama, in fact was very interesting.
The guides, on the whole were good, with Michael, the guide we had to San Francisco, Yosemite and back to LA, exceptional.
The accommodation everywhere was comfortable.
The availability of food on the tour became repetetive with repeated visits to Chinese Buffets. I am sure even the Chinese people on the tour became frustrated with this.. After the 3rd one, we gave up and ate away from the tour for lunches etc.
The only complaint I would have with any of the Hotels we stayed at would be that the Howard Johson Hotel at Anaheim seemed very slapdash about making their dinner menu available and treated you with surprise that you would want to eat there. Often the food on the menu was not available after the orders were taken.
Those things aside, we enjoyed the tour very much and would use the company again.
Be aware that on top of the cost of the tour you will be required to pay a fee to the tour bus driver and tour guide every day. This is in small print on your itinerary and adds quite considerably to the costs you will incur. It would be better if these charges were included in the cost of the tour.Read full review
We have booked this tour as part of our 10 day trip to NYC and were satisfied with it.
On the first day of the tour it was a bit difficult finding the correct bus in Chinatown as there are countless tours with this and other companies.
..Behind a desk two Chinese people were advising the bus numbers for the respective tours but we were sent tot he wrong busses twice. When we finally got to our bus our tour guide Wendy greeted us with a loud "NO!" as the bus was almost full - except for the two of us. Everything was sorted quickly though and we got on the bus to commence our travels with 43 Chinese people and 9 none-Chinese people. We saw another bus with Indian people so I think they're trying to group you by ethnicity - maybe so you don't feel like a stranger?
The Chinese unfortunately kept to themselves so we only really had contact with the other 7 passengers. We ended up becoming very good friends with one of the couples and has made the trip be forever more memorable in my mind.
There is a lot of driving and you only have little time to enjoy at the attractions. I was trying to meet up with a friend from Toronto and ended up seeing her for about 10 minutes. But all in all the tour is great. If you do all the attractions it's quite pricey but we simply informed ourselves before the trip and did
- The Thousand Island Tour
- CN tower
- Skylon tower w/o lunch (I wouldn't recommend this attraction)
- Maid of the Mist
- Cave of the winds (definitely do this if you can! You're walking where the American Bridal Veil Falls come down into Niagara River. On the Hurricane Deck you're being showered by the Falls as the powerful Bridal Veil speeds down into the river )
only. That way we had a little bit more time while people were doing e.g. The Corning Glass Museum, the Niagara Imax etc.
The admissions purchased from Wendy weren't noticeably more expensive than the ones on-site. You were always in the Fast-Track and somebody else (your tour guide) is doing all the organising/queuing for you so I didn't mind those 2-5$ more.
This tour incluides a lot of driving, getting up early and very tight time lines - but you get a lot in return. Canada is simply beautiful and the Niagara Falls are worth visiting once in your life.
The hotels we stayed at were the Holiday Inn and Travelodge, the standards were very good but the hotels were far away from the city so you weren't able to go explore on your own at night. This is probably better as this tour is not for part animals due to getting up early and lots of travelling.
I don't know about the lunch/dinner organized by our tour guide as we never went on those. Due to the nature of the group they often went to Chinese buffets - but we wanted to explore the local cuisine and went wandering off on our own. I can recommend traditional Chinese buns in Toronto.
Our tour guide Wendy was charming, entertaining and absolutely wonderful! Everybody loved her - aside from two Russian passengers that were being incredibly rude and refused to pay the service fee. Aside from that the trip was really wonderful and Wendy (although I'm sure that wasn't her real name, just simplified from Chinese for stupid tourists) and our driver Jorge were just perfect! Jorge ("George" for stupid tourists) drove us safely over 1000 miles to all our locations and listened to a lot of Chinese chatting with an angel-like patience.
I'll definitiely check out tours4fun again when i go back to the States.Read full review
This tour was full of fun! The places we visited were definately the best places to go on the west side of the U'states. The tour guides were also friendly and always willing to help. However, information given by the tour guide was a littl..e hard to understand or confusing at times. Read full review
It's more and more difficult to find great hotel discounts to cities I want to visit. So I was very happy to book one of your Los Angeles tours that include hotel accommodations. I had a nice 10 days on the West Coast and the best part of i..t all! IT WAS A GREAT DEAL!Read full review
Traveling with three kids is never easy, but we did it and we had a great time! My husband and I decided it was time to take the kids on vacation for their winter break, so we booked this tour with the theme parks. There was the usual sight..seeing for the adults and fun for the kids. The kids did get fussy on the bus, so I recommend that parents bring snacks and entertainment for the kids on long trips like ours. My youngest enjoyed SeaWorld more than Disneyland, but I think that had something to do with her being afraid of the costumed characters. The drive from location to location sometimes felt long and boring, but it was the best vacation we've taken in years.Read full review
What a fantastic way to spend ten fun-filled days with family and friends by touring these wonderful cities in this tour! I really had a great time, my family absolutely loved Disneyland and I got quite the kick out of the "Indiana Jones Ad..venture" train. My kids loved taking pictures with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. My wife liked Adventure Land very much. Heart Castle was another favourite, and its astonishing collection of art and antiques was wonderful. We all had a good time in San Francisco, and there was so much to do and see. I especially liked seeing the Golden Gate Bridge and Chinatown. Yosemite National Park was very interesting and my wife just loved the waterfalls and being in the middle of nature. I think that by far Las Vegas was my wife's and my favourite destination, we absolutely loved the Masquerade Show in the Sky at the Rio and it was fun to gamble at the slots. My kids couldn't stop talking about the amazing Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam and my wife loved shopping in Barstow. Top it off with Sea World and Universal Studios and WOW! This tour was so much fun for all.Read full review
