4-Day Iceland Nature and Wellness Tour from Reykjavik: The Blue Lagoon, Golden Circle, Secrect Lagoon, South Coast Adventure and Glacier Hike

Arrival at Keflavik Airport. The transfer coach for the transfer to the Blue Lagoon will be waiting outside the Arrivals Hall. Please show your Iceland Travel documents to the attendant on board the bus. Please note that this is an unguided transfer, and you will not be met at the airport.

The Blue Lagoon is a twenty-minute drive from the airport. Enjoy the views of surreal lava terrain and the unique pollution-free Svartsengi power station as you head to the Lagoon. You can store your luggage at the Blue Lagoon's luggage facility, a small building near the entrance. The staff will store your luggage safely for a small fee.

Relax at the Blue Lagoon with the Comfort Experience, which includes towel rental, a Silica mud mask and a choice of one drink from the Blue Lagoon's bar. The warm geothermal mineral water will soothe your skin and set you in the perfect Iceland frame of mind!

Now that you are soothed and relaxed, it's time to head to Reykjavik on one of the scheduled transfer buses departing the Blue Lagoon. Please show your Iceland Travel documents to the attendant on board and let him or her know the hotel where you will be staying.

Travel Tip: If your flight to Iceland doesn't match with the departure times for the airport transfer to the Blue Lagoon, we suggest that you visit the Blue Lagoon on your departure day instead.

The rest of the day is open for your own activities. Reykjavik has a wonderful variety of restaurants that suit many travel budgets. Choosing a place to dine will be a fun experience. Much of the food is fresh from the sea or farms, often with an organic focus. It's excellent cuisine for your wellness focused holiday!

Your package also includes one entrance to your hotel's spa, which you can use anytime during your stay.

Secret Lagoon - Gullfoss - Geysir - Thingvellir National Park

Breakfast at your hotel. Combine natural wonders and hot spring relaxation in the Golden Circle region of South Iceland. You will be picked up at your hotel or nearest tour bus stop (check with your hotel staff regarding the tour departure point).

A visit to the Golden Circle in Iceland is on the top of many travelers' bucket lists. Your first sight of the day is the multicolored Kerid Volcanic Crater Lake, a fascinating landmark created 3.000 years ago. Next up, you will stop at the Secret Lagoon, one of the oldest natural geothermal swimming pools in Iceland. Your visit is during a quiet time of the day so you can enjoy the Secret Lagoon away from tourist crowds. The pool is nestled among bubbling hot springs and a small erupting geyser. Steam rises from the surrounding geothermal area as you relax in the warm mineral-rich water, with a temperature of 38 - 40°C (100 - 104°F) year-round. The little geyser near the pool erupts every few minutes, lending an exotic backdrop to your visit.

After some time to relax at the lagoon, your tour will head to the Geysir Geothermal Area. As you step on the walking path, your senses come alive as you are immediately greeted by the sulfuric smell, and bubbling mud pools in a land of mysterious steam vents, and dynamic, gushing hot springs. The star of the show is the Strokkur Geyser, which erupts every 5 to 10 minutes.

Next, visit the astonishing Gullfoss Waterfall. The wide cascade drops in two stages, roaring and tumbling down to the canyon, splashing up a massive screen of mist. Power from the waterfall can be felt even from a distance.

The final stop is Thingvellir National Park, a unique location and significant in both Iceland's culture and geology. Althing, Iceland's parliament, was established by the Vikings here in 930 AD. You can also walk through a rift valley that sits on the divergent edge between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates.

Breakfast at your hotel. Drive through the beautiful landscapes of Iceland's south coast, enjoying the view of peaceful farms, many with horses grazing in the fields. If the sky is clear, you can view two famous volcanoes: Hekla (last eruption: 2000) and Eyjafjallajokull (last eruption: 2010). You might even glimpse the Westman Islands far off on the sea.

Stop at Skogafoss waterfall, one of Iceland's most iconic cascades.(Make sure you have your camera ready for a selfie!) Perhaps you might even catch of glimpse of the legendary Viking treasure said to be buried in the falls.

Travel east to Solheimajokull, a glacier extending out from the larger Myrdralsjokull. Here you’ll put on crampons, grab an ice axe and join in on a glacier walk. Your glacier guide will lead you up onto the surface of the glacier for a one-hour walk in spellbinding icy landscapes. Enjoy views of jagged peaks, cool blue ice and wide- open sky: a real treat for photographers! You’ll also learn about glaciers: how they are formed and why they are so important to our planet.

After the invigorating ice walk, you'll visit beautiful Seljalandsfoss. This ribbon-like waterfall offers the rare opportunity to walk behind the curtain of water (subject to trail conditions at the time of the trip).

Return to Reykjavik around 19:00 (7:00pm).

Breakfast at your hotel.  If your flight is in the afternoon, use your last moments this morning enjoying the spa located right in your hotel or walk along the harbor seafront and breathe the fresh Atlantic breeze.

Please note that transfer from the hotel to the airport is not included. We can add this to your booking upon request. We recommend that you depart no later than three hours before your flight.

Winter 2022 - 2023:
Breakfast at your hotel. Use your included FlyBus transfer to go to Keflavik airport. If you were not able to visit the Blue Lagoon on your arrival day, then you would use the transfer that stops at the Blue Lagoon on the way to Keflavik Airport.

If your flight is in the afternoon, use your last moments this morning enjoying the spa located right in your hotel or walk along the harbor seafront and breathe the fresh Atlantic breeze.
