Upon your arrival in Chengdu, you will be greeted and escorted to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the lively atmosphere of Wide and Narrow Alley or stroll through Jinli Street, immersing yourself in the local Chengdu experience.

Rise early and arrive at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding around 8:30 am, when the pandas are most active. Spend quality time observing these charming creatures as they enjoy their breakfast and engage in playful antics.

Later, return to the city center to visit the tranquil Wenshu Temple. Here, you will witness locals paying their respects, take a leisurely stroll through the temple's gardens, and savor a relaxing afternoon tea. This presents an excellent opportunity to savor local tea and embrace the unhurried pace of Chengdu.

In the evening, an optional, authentic Sichuan hot pot experience can be arranged (cost: about CNY120 per person).

Enjoy some free time until you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by your local guide and transported to your hotel in Lhasa city (a 1.5-hour drive). After checking in, take the afternoon to acclimate to the higher altitude.

Embark on your sightseeing adventure starting with the iconic Potala Palace, perched on Red Mountain in the heart of the Lhasa Valley. This magnificent structure houses a wealth of rare cultural treasures, including meticulously hand-written Buddhist scriptures in gold.
