Itinerario

Fly from Anchorage to national Park to start a National Park Bear Viewing Day Tour. The salmon here migrate upstream in different months at different places and bears often follow them. We will arrange the location for your bear viewing tour according to your tour date.
Katmai National Park Bear Viewing  Late June to July & Early September
Katmai National Park is famous for the opportunity to watch bears catching salmon during the month of July. You’ll cross Cook Inlet by plane, getting a bird’s eye view of the mountains, rivers, and lakes. After arriving you’ll walk to three wooden viewing platforms (a bridge over the river, the famous Brooks Falls, and the falls overlook), where you can see bears catching salmon or playing.
Lake Clark National Park Bear Viewing  Mid-July to Mid-September
From the end of July through August returning salmon can often be found in Lake Clark National Park. Lake Clark National Park is very large and contains a number of bear viewing locations. This tour will take you to one of the lakes that is the final destination for salmon. This national park can only be reached by plane. You’ll get there by floatplane, with bird’s eye views of multiple mountain ranges, and even two volcanoes, on the way. Experienced English-speaking guides will take you boating on the lake, where you can see bears catching salmon from up close.
Note:
1. Since bear viewing opportunities are in short supply, once this activity is booked it cannot be canceled or changed. Departure time is subject to change.
2. Bears and salmon are wild animals and their behavior is unpredictable. Whether or not you are able to see bears is influenced by many factors. We cannot guarantee that you will see them.
3. There is inherent risk in viewing bears. Please follow the instructions of the national park staff and avoid dangerous behavior.
4. Bringing any food, or drinks other than water, is prohibited.
