Itinerario

Take one of the most scenic trips through Iceland's South Coast as you travel through an ancient land of glaciers, waterfalls, and untouched wilderness on Iceland's main highway towards its East Coast. This day trip from Reykjavik will depart at 8:00am to lead us to two of the most stunning waterfalls in Iceland: Seljalandsfoss, which allows you to step behind it to take grand photos of it bisecting the South Coast landscape, and Skogafoss, a powerful and magnificent waterfall that cascades into a tranquil black pebble river. From here we'll journey along the southern edge of Vatnajokull, the largest ice cap in Europe, and into Skaftafell, a sub-zone of the larger Vatnajokull National Park. This region is filled with vast fields, towering basalt columns, and glacier carved valleys. Finally, we'll arrive at today's main highlight: Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. This iceberg filled region is unlike anything you've seen in Iceland and bound to steal your breath. Here we'll board amphibious vehicles that are specially designed to explore these gorgeous waters and lead us up close to the blue and white icebergs. Keep your camera close to capture otherworldly images of the lagoon and spot the various birds and seals that thrive here. In the evening we'll begin our journey back to Reykjavik.
