Itinerario

After crossing the border, we will make our first stop at the St. Dimitrie Basarabov Monastery, the birthplace of the historic protector of Bucharest, Dimitrie Basarabov. This unique attraction was completely carved into the cliff side stone. Our next stop will be in Veliko Tarnovo, once known as the "City of Tsars" and the medieval capital of Bulgaria. Here we'll see the Tsaravets Fortress, an impressive construction that will leave you breathless, especially after visiting the interior of the majestic church that stands on top of the hill. After a well deserved lunch break, we will be heading towards Arbanassi, a village which has kept its medieval legacy very strong, and will surely impress you before heading back to Bucharest.
