Krka National Park Day Tour with A Local Guide and Wine Tasting from Split

This tour picks you up from Split or Trogir and takes you to the stunning Krka Waterfalls. Discover the magnificent waterfalls of Krka National Park, where you'll enjoy the breathtaking views while walking around the area, exploring the natural surroundings and visiting the still-active, hundred-year-old water mill. Finish the tour with a stop in a local winery.
If you have a couple of days in the Split and Trogir area this could be a trip that you are looking for. Krka NP is one of two Croatian NP`s that contain lakes and waterfalls. We are taking you to 2 locations of exceptional natural value inside of the NP with an included boat ride down the river canyon.
But let's start with the plan. We meet in Split or Trogir and take 1 hour and 30 minute drive to Entrance Lozovac as this is the best place to start the 2km walk around the Skradinski Buk waterfall (Relaxing walk downhill as the views are building up). Pass through the old water mill system as our guide explains part of the history and traditions in this area. Then continue this amazing walk on the wooden pathway with waterfalls everywhere around. This truly is one of the most preserved ecosystems in Croatia.
After 2h30mins at Skradinski Buk we continue our journey with a boat ride down the river canyon to our second location inside of the NP, the lovely little town of Skradin. In this lower part of the stream we have an opportunity during the hot summer days to cool down with a nice swim inside of the Krka River.
And last but not least a special surprise for those who love some good local food and wine. Only a 10 minute drive from our swimming spot we have a little village called Plastovo known for a few beautiful local family food and wine stops. Let`s go for some wine tasting (included), learn about its production and history, and if you decide taste some of the local specialties that the family offers. The summary would be: A total of 5hrs inside of the Krka NP at two locations with exceptional views and scenery, boat ride, swimming inside of the Krka River and an extra visit to a local family food and wine tavern (agrotourism).
A relaxing day outside of the city that everyone will enjoy. We finish our day with a drive on the highway back to Trogir and Split. Check out the itinerary!
