Itinerario

Day 1: Perth to Wave Rock
Your adventure begins bright and early in Perth as we journey southeast into the heart of Western Australia. The first stop is Wellington Dam, where the world's largest dam mural seamlessly blends art and nature on an epic scale. Set against the rugged backdrop of Wellington National Park, it's a powerful and photogenic tribute to local stories and connection to Country.

In nearby Collie, enjoy free time to grab lunch and explore the Collie Mural Trail, where over 40 vibrant artworks turn the town into a walkable open-air gallery.

By late afternoon, we reach Wave Rock, one of WA's most iconic natural landmarks. This ancient granite formation, shaped like a giant ocean wave, is just a short walk from tonight's campsite. Settle in at our base and enjoy dinner under the stars.
Accommodation: Swag camping with amenities at Wave Rock Bush Camp
Meals Included: Dinner
Distance Travelled: Approx. 550 km

Day 2: Wave Rock to Cape Le Grand National Park
Start the day with a walk along the 3.6 km Wave Rock Circuit. It's more than just the iconic granite wave. This loop takes you past ancient rock formations like Hippo's Yawn, through salmon gum woodland, and around salt lakes that shimmer pink in the right light.

We hit the road mid-morning, stopping in Ravensthorpe to admire its striking silo art and grab some lunch. Then it's on to Esperance, where the landscape shifts from outback to ocean. With nine national parks and some of the best beaches in the world, this region is pure coastal magic. You'll have time to explore the town while your guide stocks up on supplies.

By late afternoon, we roll into Cape Le Grand National Park and set up camp right on the edge of Lucky Bay. With its white sands, turquoise water, and resident kangaroos, it's the perfect place to swim, hike, or just relax and take it all in.
Accommodation: Swag camping with amenities at Lucky Bay

Day 3: Cape Le Grand National Park
Wake up to the magic of Cape Le Grand, where the first light of day is best shared with the local kangaroos lounging on the sand. After a beachside wander, lace up your boots for a rewarding climb up Frenchman Peak. This iconic hike offers sweeping views over the national park and the scattered islands of the Recherche Archipelago.

The rest of the day is yours to explore more of this coastal paradise. Swim in turquoise bays, hike through bushland alive with native wildlife, or simply relax and take it all in. With minimal driving today, it's all about slowing down and soaking up the beauty around you.
Accommodation: Swag camping with amenities at Lucky Bay (second night)

Day 4: Cape Le Grand to the Nullarbor Plain
Wake with the sun and say farewell to the coast as we begin one of Australia's great overland journeys across the vast Nullarbor Plain. After a quick stop in Norseman, an outback town rich in gold rush history, we hit the legendary 90 Mile Straight, the longest stretch of straight road in the country.

As the red dirt rolls by, your guide will share tales of the land, its people, and the rugged character of this remote region. The landscape may be flat, but it's full of life and quiet drama. By nightfall, we set up camp under one of the darkest skies in the world, where a million stars light up the desert.
Accommodation: Swag camping on the Nullarbor (no amenities)
Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner
Distance Travelled: Approx. 790 km

Day 5: Great Australian Bight to Penong
Today, we continue our epic crossing of the Nullarbor, where vast horizons and iconic Aussie sights unfold with every kilometre. Snap a photo at the famous wildlife crossing sign, camels, kangaroos, and wombats, of course, before reaching one of the most jaw-dropping spots on the journey: the Bunda Cliffs. Stretching over 200 km, these towering limestone walls mark the edge of Australia, where the land meets the Southern Ocean in dramatic fashion.

Later, we cross the Dingo Fence, the longest fence in the world, and enter the Yalata Aboriginal lands, a region rich in stories and cultural significance. As the afternoon sun dips low, we roll into Penong, an offbeat outback town known for its eccentric windmill display and laid-back charm.

Tonight, enjoy classic country hospitality with an optional dinner at the local pub (own expense), before settling into camp.
Accommodation: Swag camping with amenities at Penong Caravan Park

Distance Travelled: Approx. 600 km

Day 6:  Penong to Coodlie Park
This morning, start with a taste of quirky Aussie culture at the Penong Windmill Museum, home to 'Bruce'—the biggest windmill in Australia. Then it's time to hit the water with a two-hour learn-to-surf lesson in the clear, sheltered waters of Streaky Bay. Whether you're catching your first wave or just soaking up the sun, this stretch of coastline delivers serious good vibes.
After free time in town to grab lunch, trade ocean waves for sandy slopes with a sandboarding session on the region's towering dunes, equal parts thrill and laughter. Before reaching camp, take a short walk to explore the wave-carved beauty of Talia Cave.

By late afternoon, arrive at Coodlie Park Farm Retreat. Enjoy a barbecue dinner, meet the resident animals, and roll out your swag in one of the unique outdoor swag huts. You also have the option to join a stargazing tour, where zero light pollution reveals constellations, galaxies, and the raw wonder of a true outback sky.

Optional Extra: Stars Above Coodlie Stargazing Experience
Witness the night sky in all its glory at Coodlie Park, one of the darkest places in Australia. This 90-minute stargazing tour takes you deep into the cosmos with a laser-guided interpretation of the southern sky, including the Milky Way, Southern Cross, and Magellanic Clouds. Zero light pollution and a Bortle Class-1 rating make this a must-do for anyone curious about the universe.

Day 7: Coodlie Park to Camp Nyroca
Rise early for an optional marine encounter at Baird Bay that's equal parts heart-pounding and humbling. Operated by Eco-Accredited Baird Bay Ocean Eco Tours, this wild swim takes you into calm, sheltered waters for an extraordinary encounter with Australian sea lions and bottlenose dolphins. Cruise out to Jones Island, where sea lions bask in the sun. Slip into the water and watch as they twist, spin, and swirl around you. Then head into deeper water for a chance to swim with wild dolphins. Graceful, curious, and completely free. No feeding, no gimmicks, just raw,  real connection in the wild.

Prefer to stay dry? You'll take a scenic drive to Point Labatt, the only mainland location where you can reliably spot Australian sea lions in their natural habitat.

After lunch, we continue down the Eyre Peninsula's rugged west coast before reaching our peaceful bush base at Camp Nyroca. Surrounded by forest and alive with bird calls. A relaxed evening awaits after a big day of nature and connection.

Optional Extra: Swim with Sea Lions and Dolphins
These animals are never fed or interfered with, ensuring a respectful encounter in their natural habitat. Cruise out to Jones Island, home to a colony of playful Australian sea lions. Then head into deeper water to swim with wild bottlenose dolphins—graceful, intelligent, and entirely free.

Day 8: Coffin Bay to Port Lincoln
This morning, we roll into the coastal gem of Coffin Bay National Park, where blinding white beaches, rugged cliffs, and ridiculously blue water are just the beginning. Explore the area, snap some photos, or just breathe in that salty air.

If you're up for something unique, join an optional Oyster Farm Tour. Waders on, toes in the water, and oysters fresh off the lease. It's paddock-to-plate, Eyre Peninsula style. If you're staying dry, take a chilled wander along the Oyster Walk, a coastal trail packed with views, bushland, and a few surprises along the way. Back in town, grab lunch at your pace (psst... Oyster HQ is a crowd favourite for a reason).

Arrive in Port Lincoln just in time for lunch at the iconic Fresh Fish Place for probably some of the best fish and chips you've ever had. Visit Mikkira Station Koala Sanctuary, a private property home to the Eyre Peninsula's only wild koala population, before a cultural experience with the proud Barngarla woman, Emmalene Richards. You'll be welcomed to Country and guided through stories of culture, tradition, and deep connection to the land and sea.

Enjoy some free time back in town to grab dinner before heading back to wildly beautiful Lincoln National Park to settle in for the night.

Optional Extra: Coffin Bay Oyster Farm Tour
Ready to take your tastebuds on an adventure? Wade out into the waters of beautiful Coffin Bay and settle in at the semi-submerged Salt Water Pavilion—a floating tasting deck set right in the middle of a working commercial oyster lease.Over 1.5 hours, you'll hear firsthand from local oyster farmer Ben as he shares the secrets of oyster growing and farming life. Then, taste what all the fuss is about with four freshly shucked Coffin Bay oysters, straight from the ocean to your plate.

Next, we swing into Cowell to admire another striking silo piece that honours the town's oyster farming heritage and deep Aboriginal roots. After grabbing lunch in Cowell, we make our way to Mount Remarkable National Park in the Southern Flinders Ranges. Set up camp one last time, reflecting with your new travel crew over dinner, before rolling out your swag and settling in under a canopy of stars.
