SUNRISE ON TAM GIANG LAGOON

Early morning (5:00am) take a short drive to a fishermen village by Tam Giang Lagoon, about 10km east of Hue. Embark on a leisurely sampan ride around the lagoon to grasp scenes of lives on the waters. With a fisherman, initiate the age-old techniques of fishing to catch crabs, fishes, shrimps, etc.

Take time to photograph the exotic scenes. Stroll along the rustic countryside to an ancient temple and lend a helping hand to the farmer on the field. Stop by the colorful and flavorful rural markets, taste some local delicacies, and snack depending on the mood. Return to the hotel.

In mid-afternoon, take a short drive to Tam Giang Lagoon, the largest of its kind in SE Asia and certainly the most picturesque place to explore. Embark on a leisurely sampan ride around the lagoon to grasp scenes of lives on the waters. With a fisherman, initiate the age-old techniques of fishing to catch crabs, fishes, shrimps, etc.

Take time to photograph the exotic scenes. Enjoy the view from the stilt house on water and savour your fresh catch if you feel like. Get back to shore, take a walk to truly absorb the rural atmosphere. Stroll along the rustic countryside to an ancient temple and lend a helping hand to the farmer on the field or try some bamboo weaving handicraft. Return to the hotel.
