Cherry Blossom season is one of the best and most beautiful times to visit Washington, DC. Our Cherry Blossom Segway Tour is a fantastic way to get up close and personal to these famous blossoms. Donated by Japan, the Cherry Blossom trees have graced the Tidal Basin and Potomac Waterfront for over 100 years. This casual Segway ride around the blossoms will give you a great look at this yearly spectacle as well as the incredible history behind the trees and all the wonderful monuments and sites they surround. You'll visit the Tidal Basin Jefferson Memorial Potomac Waterfront Hain’s Point Lincoln Memorial FDR Memorial Japanese Pagoda

On this tour, three things we can't control are the weather, the crowds, and the blooming of the Cherry Blossoms. Our tours are scheduled during the National Cherry Blossom Festival, so there will likely be many visitors in the areas near the Blossoms. However, we will do our best to avoid the largest crowds and we will even venture off the Segways in certain areas to get up-close and personal. Out of respect for the subjects of these monuments and memorials, Segway riding may be prohibited in some areas. Thus, there is some walking involved in the Cherry Blossom Segway Tour.

We ask that each guest arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the necessary paperwork. Please bring your credit card at the time of the tour for pre-authorization. Each of our tours begins with a 30 minute orientation session. We will practice on the bike until everyone feels comfortable and is ready to conquer the city. Due to the risk to both mother and child, pregnant women are not allowed to participate on our bike tours. Any guest under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or authorized guardian.

The operating date is subject to change, please check the availability before booking.

Guests must weigh at least 100 pounds (45kg) and not be in excess of 260 pounds(118kg).

All riders over 45kg (100lbs) must ride their own bicycle. We have various smaller sized mountain bikes for those able to ride on their own, and of course, our regular beach cruisers for children big enough to ride them.

Your safety is always our highest priority and we begin each tour with a thorough orientation of the Segway and its use before departing our office.

When making a reservation, please be certain to note the ages of all children in the party to be sure there are enough properly sized bikes.
