Palace of Versailles, or Chateau de Versailles, also was home to Louis XV and Louis XVI - who both also made opulent improvements - before the royals were forced out in 1789 during the French Revolution. It is a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site.

Fantastic holiday with my friends. We booked because planning multiple European cities seemed difficult. Everything was arranged nicely, from hotels to transportation. The group atmosphere was friendly. I loved walking around Paris after arriving there. Maybe include more local food recommendations next time.
