The town of Canmore, located in Alberta, Canada is situated southeast of the Banff National Park, also located in the Alberta's Rockies. The town was officially name Canmore in 1884 by Canadian Pacific Railway director Donald A. Smith. The town is known for its coal mining history; the first coal mining charter was granted by Queen Victoria in 1886. There are restrictions for future rural development due to its climate and geographic location. The town is home to many resorts and attracts many to join snow sports such as skiing and snowboarding.

What an incredible adventure! The tour perfectly balanced guided activities with enough free time to explore a bit on our own. The Icefields Parkway is the most beautiful road I've ever traveled on, and our driver handled it with expert skill. The snowmobile ride onto the glacier was an unforgettable highlight and a must-do for all ages.

I booked the 10am airport pickup and the driver was already waiting. The group was pretty big – about 45 people – but our guide handled it really well. Standing on the Columbia Icefield felt surreal. I'd say it's worth every dollar I spent.

I was honestly blown away by how smoothly everything ran. From pickup in Calgary to final drop-off, our guide Maria was professional, passionate, and kept the group on schedule without feeling rushed. The Columbia Ice Explorer and Glacier Skywalk were unforgettable – standing on a glacier is a bucket-list moment. Lake Louise and Moraine Lake lived up to every postcard. Hotel: The Elk + Avenue in Banff was cozy and clean; the Chateau Jasper had a great mountain vibe. Meals: No breakfast included, but our guide gave excellent recommendations. What a trip! I’m a solo traveler and felt safe and well looked after the whole time. We saw plenty of wildlife and panoramic lakes that you only see in postcards. Transport was reliable, and the guide was friendly and informative. Definitely ticked off a dream itinerary!
