This Duomo will take you as close to heaven as you can get. The staircase climb, through narrow and open-air corridors that have been closed to the public for centuries, rewards those who complete it with incomparable views of the city from the cathedral rooftop. Some may wonder, how many steps up the Duomo of Florence? There are 153 to the terraces and another 310 to the top of Brunelleschi's Dome. But it's worth it to see the city from almost 100 metres up!
 

Tips:

- We regret to inform you that this tour is not suitable for guests with wheelchairs or with impaired mobility.
- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refusal entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
- Comfortable shoes suggested.
- Please note the number of steps to reach the top of each monument:
Terraces: 153
Terraces + Brunelleschi's Dome: 153 + 310
- Please note that from 1st May 2023 controls at the entrance to the Dome and Terraces will be strengthened, and bulky backpacks and bags will no longer be allowed to climb.
- Please note that from 1st June 2023 to 30th September an afternoon departure at 6 pm will be available - no guided tour of the Cathedral included and 2 hours duration.
