10-Day China Nature and Culture Private Tour from Shanghai: Suzhou, Xian and Beijing

Welcome to Shanghai! To ensure your arrival is stress-free, your private tour guide will meet you in the arrival hall and transfer you to your hotel in a private car. Your luggage and hotel check-in will be taken care of.

After breakfast, you will first go to Yuyuan Garden, adjacent to Shanghai City God Temple and Shanghai Yuyuan Tourist Mall, which is a well-known classical garden in the south of the Yangtze River and famous for its attractions both at home and abroad.

After lunch, you will be driven to the Bund as well as Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, a symbolic attraction of the city of Shanghai, with its diverse styles of universal architecture and the night view of the Pu River as its highlights.

After breakfast, transfer to Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. In the morning we will visit the Tiger Hill Scenic Area, which is located in the northwest suburb of Suzhou City, five kilometres from the city centre. Ancient trees, small mountains and many scenic spots, the thousand-year-old Huqiu Pagoda stands on the top of the mountain. Afterwards, we will go to Hanshan Temple to visit the Heavenly King Hall, Da Xiong Bao Dian, Cold Sculpture Hall, Pu Ming Pagoda and so on. In the evening, you will be driven back to Shanghai hotel for rest.

In the morning, we will take a train to Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, followed by a visit to the exterior of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. In the evening, we will go to the Great Tang Nocturnal City, which has six imitation Tang blocks and four major cultural buildings, namely Xi'an Concert Hall, Xi'an Grand Theatre, Qujiang Cinema City and Shaanxi Artists' Exhibition Gallery.

Today we will visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum of Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum, which was inscribed on the protected list of the World Heritage Sites in 1987 and is a golden name card of China's ancient glorious civilisation. The Terracotta Warriors and Horses is one of the greatest discoveries in the world's archaeological history and is known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World". Afterwards, we will go to Huaqing Pond Scenic Spot for sightseeing.

After breakfast, you will go to the Ancient City Wall of Xi'an, which is the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China. Afterwards, you will visit Yongning Gate, which is one of the oldest and longest-used gates in Xi'an. During the Sui Dynasty, it was the easternmost of the three gates on the south side of the Imperial City and was called Anshang Gate. Afterwards, you will visit the Bell and Drum Tower, an ancient building mainly made of wood.

Today you will be travelling by train to Beijing, the capital of China. we will first head to the Temple of Heaven Scenic Area is the location where ancient emperors performed their rituals. Afterwards, we will head to the King Gong's Palace, the largest and best-protected of the existing royal residences. After lunch we will head to the Summer Palace, a royal garden during the Qing Dynasty of China, formerly known as the Garden of Clear Ripples, located in the western suburbs of Beijing, fifteen kilometres from the city and adjacent to the Yuanmingyuan.

After breakfast, we will first visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Located in the centre of Beijing's central axis, the Forbidden City is the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the largest and most complete complex of ancient royal buildings existing in China. The Palace is grand in scale, strict in layout, exquisite in architecture, rich in splendour, with many rare cultural relics in its collection, which is the essence of China's ancient architecture, culture and art.We will then proceed to the Shichahai Scenic Area and visit the Prince Gong's Mansion. Gongwang Mansion is the largest and best-protected one among the existing royal mansions, which has both the style of Chinese Jiangnan garden and the characteristics of northern gardening, with its regular architectural layout, excellent craftsmanship and interlaced pavilions, fully reflecting the style of the royal family's splendour and richness, and the folk's charm of purity and simplicity.

Today you will first take a bus to Mutianyu Great Wall, which is located in Huairou District of Beijing and is the essence of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. The Mutianyu Great Wall is constructed in a unique style, with dense enemy towers and dangerous passes, with battlements on both sides of the wall. The Mutianyu Great Wall tourist area is surrounded by mountains with beautiful scenery. Afterwards, you will go to the YuanmingyuanThen drive to Beijing Olympic Park and see the Bird's Nest National Stadium and the Water Cube National Swimming Centre.

As your China trip comes to end, your tour guide and driver will collect you from your hotel and transfer you to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) or Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) for your flight home.
