5-Day Beijing Private Tour: The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Great Wall at Mutianyu, Beijing Olympic Park and Summer Palace

Today will arrive at the capital of China - Beijing. With a long history and splendid culture, Beijing is one of the first batch of National Famous Historical and Cultural Cities, one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China and the city with the largest number of World Heritage Sites in the world. 3,060 years of the city's founding history has given birth to the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, and many other attractions and monuments.

Pick up the tour group at the airport and check in to the hotel.

After breakfast, we will first head to the Temple of Heaven Scenic Area is the location where ancient emperors performed their rituals. Afterwards, we will head to the King Gong's Palace, the largest and best-protected of the existing royal residences. After lunch we will head to the Summer Palace, a royal garden during the Qing Dynasty of China, formerly known as the Garden of Clear Ripples, located in the western suburbs of Beijing, fifteen kilometres from the city and adjacent to the Yuanmingyuan.

After breakfast, we will first visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Located in the centre of Beijing's central axis, the Forbidden City is the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the largest and most complete complex of ancient royal buildings existing in China. The Palace is grand in scale, strict in layout, exquisite in architecture, rich in splendour, with many rare cultural relics in its collection, which is the essence of China's ancient architecture, culture and art. In the afternoon, you will visit the National Museum of China, which is located on the east side of Tiananmen Square, the largest comprehensive history museum in China, with rich collections and displays showing the 5,000-year long and splendid civilisation epic created by the ancestors of the Chinese nation.

Today you will first take a bus to Mutianyu Great Wall, which is located in Huairou District of Beijing and is the essence of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. The Mutianyu Great Wall is constructed in a unique style, with dense enemy towers and dangerous passes, with battlements on both sides of the wall. The Mutianyu Great Wall tourist area is surrounded by mountains with beautiful scenery. Then drive to Beijing Olympic Park and see the Bird's Nest National Stadium and the Water Cube National Swimming Centre.

As your China trip comes to end, your tour guide and driver will collect you from your hotel and transfer you to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) or Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) for your flight home.
