Waimanalo Beach

The coastal community features the longest stretch of beach along the shore on the island of Oahu and "Waimanalo" is Hawaiian for "protected, precious waters." Among the ironwood trees, you'll find sloping white sands and turquoise waters situated in the Waimanalo Beach Park established in 1921 the perfect place for swimming, surfing, picnicking, camping and sunbathing. The television shows "Magnum PI" and "Baywatch Hawaii" were shot on Waimanalo Beach.
