Queens Park

The quaint Downtown Toronto park opened in 1860 by then Prince of Wales Edward during a royal visit and its name is a tribute to Queen Victoria. Among its many historical monuments, it contains the beautifully-designed Ontario Legislative Building and is a popular spot for students from the nearby University of Toronto. Queens Park has the Ontario Veterans Memorial, Northwest Rebellion Memorial, 48th Highlanders War Memorial, Ontario Police Memorial and a Canadian Volunteer Monument.
