Milan Cathedral

This epic Gothic style Milan structure took almost six centuries to build with the groundbreaking in 1386 and completion in 1965. The 520-foot by 302-foot Milan Cathedral, or Duomo di Milano is the seat of the Milan's Archbishop and the fifth largest cathedral in the world. Among the religious site's many artistic features are the 1562 Bartolomeo Flayed statue, The Holy Nail reportedly used in the Crucifixion of Christ, Madonnino on the cathedral spire and the largest pipe organ in Italy.
