La Jolla Cove

This breathtaking beach located in La Jolla, California is often called "The Most Photographed Beach in San Diego" and "The Jewel of San Diego." Plenty of ocean life can be observed at La Jolla Cove including the bright orange Garibaldi fish, leopard sharks, yellowtail and rays. It is within the San Diego La Jolla Underwater Park Ecological Reserve and prohibited activities on the beach are surfing, boogie-boarding, fishing and collecting seashells. Swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving are popular because of the high water visibility.
