The central square of Brussels, the Grand Place is the location of the city's Town Hall, Breadhouse and guildhalls. It was officially made a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is also recognized for its bi-yearly "flower carpet," which is when millions of flowers are laid in the square every two years.
