Frick Collection

This stunning Gilded Age mansion located along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan's Upper East Side features treasured art pieces collected by Pittsburgh industrialist Henry Clay Frick. The Frick Collection museum opened in 1935 in one of Frick's homes and it is still acquiring art to add to its selection that includes works by artists such as Bellini, Rembrandt, Vermeer and Gainsborough. It also has the Frick Art Reference Library housing books and photographs about European and American art ranging from the fourth to the mid-20th centuries.
