3-Day Yosemite National Park Tour

The tour will depart from San Francisco driving through the San Joaquin Valley and begin our adventures at Yosemite National Park with a Yosemite Valley tour. We'll take a meal break before we see more amazing places in the park. In the evening, your independence begins to have dinner and check in to the lodging that you choose. Tour Length - 11 hours approximately 6:00 - 7:00     Pick-ups start in Fisherman's Wharf area and continue towards downtown San Francisco. 7:00 - 9:00     Continuing east, see the windmills and descend into the San Joaquin valley and stop for a break and a snack. 9:15 - 11:00   Begin the climb into the foothills, through gold country, and up into the Sierra Nevada range and Yosemite National Park. 11:00 - 13:00 On your Yosemite tour, you will enjoy the amazing views of the Valley, El Capitan, Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls. Enjoy a hike to one of the park's waterfalls or lakes, or relax at the visitor's center where there are museums, restaurants, and the Ansel Adams Gallery. 13:00 - 17:00 Check out your options, check your bags, and check out Yosemite! And check your YARTS schedule for departure times, because you are staying outside the Park! Evening -       Check into your hotel, have a nice dinner, and maybe enjoy some time in the hot tub. Then get a good night's sleep so you can get up early for another exciting day in Yosemite. 

You're on your own today to see and do whatever you choose. There are plenty of park activities to choose from including hiking, swimming, whitewater rafting, fishing and rock climbing. Morning Get up early and see the sunrise. Get dressed for the day and walk a few feet to the YARTS stop, so you can get started. All day You decide! Get some maps, talk to the rangers or the staff at the Village and the Lodge and get some ideas. DO NOT miss the last YARTS bus out! Ask for schedule updates. IN WINTER: Be prepared to walk on ice and snow – bring warm clothes, waterproof hiking boots, and mittens! Hike the valley, climb to the Top of Yosemite Falls, or take the Mist Trail beside the roaring Merced River. (Be careful, and ask Park staff about trail conditions.) Evening Check into the hotel, have a nice dinner, maybe spend some more time in the hot tub or watch some TV, and then get a good night’s sleep so you can get up early for another amazing day in Yosemite. * Notification from the Yosemite National Park Services: Yosemite has experienced significant snowfall in all areas of the park, resulting in snow depths up to 15 feet in some areas. There is no estimated date for reopening.

You have more than half of the day to see landmarks or participate in recreation activities before meeting for a last group tour at 1 pm. Then, we head back to San Francisco in late afternoon. Tour Length - 14 hours approximately 7:00 - 8:00 Get up early, check out, grab your bags, and walk a few feet to the YARTS stop, so you can get started. 9:30 - 13:00 Spend the morning in Yosemite on your own. Grab a lunch, and get back to Yosemite Lodge. 13:30 - 16:00 Explore more of Yosemite on your own. 16:00 - 18:00 Start the return trip, descending from the Sierras, with more great scenery as we follow the sun to the west. 18:00 - 18:30 Stop for a break and a bite to eat. 18:30 - 20:30 Continue back to San Francisco, enjoying views of the sunset over the East Bay hills, or the Peninsula and the city lights. 20:30 - 21:00 The Yosemite tour ends at your San Francisco Hotel front door. Hotel availability is subject to final confirmation.
