8-Day German Trek End Copenhagen Tour from frankfurt

Welcome to Europamundo! Transfer to the hotel and free time. You will be provided with the information required for the beginning of the trip in the afternoon; otherwise, the information will appear on the information panels at the hotel reception area.

The hotel staff can help you with all the information you need.

Landscape: Very pretty scenery following the Rhine and Moselle valleys. Very beautiful villages are scattered along the way.


08.00 hrs - Frankfurt -departure. Today we will see the Rhine and the Moselle valleys. Two rivers charged with history and sprinkled with charming villages.
09.00 hrs - Rudesheim am Rhein. - We reach the Rhine at this picturesque mediaeval village full of tourist and commercial life. After some time to stroll, we board a boat to take a CRUISE ALONG THE RHINE of around two hours. We find ourselves in the prettiest sector of the river: fortresses, mediaeval villages, ancient churches, vineyards on the hillsides. Arrival in ST. GOAR and continuation along small roads travelling towards the Moselle Valley.


12:15hrs - Cochem - Arrival- We are now in one of the prettiest villages of the valley. Time for lunch and to take a walk.


15:00 hrs.- Cochem –Departure-
16.45 hrs. - Cologne -Arrival. Time to visit its impressive Gothic cathedral, which with its 154 metres of height was the tallest building in the world until the end of the 19th century. You can also have a walk along the Rhine River and through the lively city center.

19:00 hrs - Cologne. Departure for our hotel.
20:15 hrs - Dortmund. Arrival and accommodation.


Note: On dates with trade fairs or congresses, accommodation may be given in a nearby city.

We will have a stage full of magic, reminding us about the stories of the Brothers
Grimm, along the itinerary of the Fairytales Route.


08.00 hrs. - Dortmund, departure.
10.15 hrs.- Trendelburg - arrival at this picturesque walled village, dominated by its large medieval castle. We visit the castle with its Rapuntzel Tower (entrance included) and the princess´s long blonde braid hanging from the window.


11.15 hrs. - Tendelburg - departure. We continue along small roads, crossing forests, while we imagine Hansel and Gretel.
12.00 hrs - Hoxter. Arrival and time for lunch in this small town full of life, where Corvey Abbey is located, an ancient monastery from the 9th century, a World Heritage Site (a stop to photograph its walls and interior patios).


14:30 hrs. – Hoxter - departure. We continue our route making a brief stop in POLLE to photograph the exterior ruins of Cinderella’s Castle.
15:45 hrs. – Hamelin. We are in the city famous for the story of The Pied Piper of Hamelin. We will enjoy remembering the Grimm Brothers´ story and following the mouse´s footprints. Time to have a walk.


17.30 hrs. - Hamelin - departure.
18:30 hrs. - Hannover - Arrival. A walk through the center before heading to our hotel.


Note: On some dates the accommodation might be given in Cologne or another city nearby. In that case the departure from Cologne on Thursday will be at 07:30 hrs.

Scenery: pleasant landscapes in Saxony, Hartz mountains, little villages.-


08:00 hrs. - Hannover - Departure -.
09:30 hrs. - Goslar - Arrival -. A town declared UNESCO World Heritage, one of the prettiest towns in Germany with its historic houses and its Market Square. Time for a walk.

11.15 hrs. - Goslar -departure-. We continue our route through one of the most beautiful areas of Germany.
12.00 hrs. - Quedlinburg- arrival. UNESCO declared this city a World Heritage Site due to its fascinating historic center, which has survived almost unscathed for centuries with its more than 2100 half-timbered houses. Also noteworthy are the town hall and the castle. Free time for a walk and lunch.

14.15 hrs. - Quedlinburg departure. We travel to the capital of Germany.
17.00 hrs. - Berlin -Arrival.

08:00 h. Sightseeing tour of the most modern city in Europe, and visit to the Museum Island, Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, the Reichstag, Potsdamerplatz and the Zoo. We leave the coach to visit the Holocaust Memorial and Berlin Wall Museum. Berlin bore witness to many significant events of the 20th century. Free afternoon to explore the city. We recommend a visit to Kurfurstenstrasse, the city’s main shopping Street, and Kantstrasse, where there are many international restaurants. Optionally you will have the opportunity to visit Potsdam with the Sanssouci gardens and palace and Cecilienhof palace.

Note: in some cases the city tour might be carried out the day before.

Countryside: Pleasant hills in the south of Denmark. Large plains in Germany.
NB: We recommend you enjoy the ferry crossing. Take some warm clothes, if you want to stroll on deck. -


Free time in the morning.
11:30 hrs - Berlin –Departure-. We travel towards the north of Germany. Around 15.00hrs, we come to the port of Rostock where we will board a ferry (normally leaving at around 15:30hrs) for an almost two-hour crossing to Denmark. - A very modern and pleasant ferry (shops, cafeterias, exchange booths, leisure offer).


At around 17:30hrs Arrival in Denmark and continuation to
20.00 hrs - Copenhagen –Arrival.

7:30.- City tour of the Danish capital with a local guide. Copenhagen is the largest Scandinavian city, and full of contrasts: the popular Tivoli, Christianborg Palace, the terraces of Nyhavn, the Mermaid... The city tour finishes around 10:30. Free time in the afternoon.

After breakfast, end of our services.

Note: Remember that hotels check-out time is usually at 10.00 hrs. In most cases, you can leave your luggage at the hotel reception at check-out time, so you can enjoy the city and pick it up at the time you require that same day. If you need more time to use your room, please consider booking an additional night at the end of your tour.
