This lovely French commune is famous for being the location of Impressionist artist Claude Monet's house and extensive gardens. Giverny settlements date back prior to the 1st century and is located along the River Seine in France's Upper Normandy region. Monet lived there from 1883 to this death in 1926 and many of his paintings were inspired by Giverny.
