The distinguished concert venue in Midtown Manhattan hosts more than 180 concerts and is the site for 500-plus other independent events per year. Carnegie Hall was commissioned by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie and opened in 1891 with the structure designed by William B. Tuthill made up of three auditoriums. The U.S. National Historic Landmark is divided into the Stern Auditorium, Zankel Hall and Weill Recital Hall with a total capacity of 3,671. Carnegie Hall's Rose Museum opened in 1991 and features the establishment's history through photos, autographed posters, concert programs and multimedia.
