Established in 1853, this scientific establishment aims to answer the questions of how life of Earth advanced and how it can be sustained. The 412,000-square foot academy features a new aquarium, planetarium, rain forest, natural history museum, 2 1/2-acre living roof, an earthquake exhibit and 40,000 live animals.
