Customer Care Representative I Job Summary

The incumbent is under the Close Supervision of the Customer Care Manager and Customer Care Supervisor(s). The incumbent provides customer service and resolves issues by offering solutions, explanations, options or by arranging for service

Job Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls, respond to customer emails, voice messages, leads, inquiries and questions and answers from customers promptly in an effective and timely manner
  • Process reservations to final status accurately and within a timely manner. Resolve first level customer service issues for customer before, during and after travel as well as complete follow up work to resolve any customer service issues
  • Must be able to assist customer's requests for reservation processing, explain changes to tour information, provide suitable options and useful and helpful information for pre, in and post travel concerns
  • Ensure and create a high-quality customer experience within a call center environment utilizing internal phone systems, emails, voicemails, faxes, and letters as well other channels of correspondence
  • Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor when communicating with travelers, travel agents, vendors, internal departments, peers and supervisors. Provide online booking assistance / package / product searches
  • Ability to communicate with irate customers calmly and professionally through both written and verbal communication
  • Calculate costs, payments and/or refunds for customers and make adjustments to bookings as required
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with agents, peers, management, corporate, network, coworkers, and partners etc.
  • Updates and maintains all necessary records and/or logs
  • Participate in all training offered by Tours4Fun and their tour providers.--Remain up to date with company communications regarding provider updates/ internal process and policy updates
  • Identify and communicate with the Product Teams any potential or current provider issues or incorrect information that may result in customer complaints or potential liability issues
  • Communicate effectively with third party companies and own internal product / accounting departments as necessary
  • The daily volume of inbound contacts received may determine the specific focus for each individual within the department and within this position
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested

Job Skills/Requirements

PR Specialist

Job Accountability

Develop and execute PR strategy to reach out wide range of clients and build brand image of Tours4fun in North America market (30%)

  • Develop and implement PR strategy to build brand awareness at all levels of sales and for all tourist market segments
  • Set annual PR goals with the marketing team, and review and adhere to annual PR plans, providing reporting data at year end
  • Work with management to develop traditional PR and social media campaigns, and oversee execution and measurement
  • Work with sales & marketing team and PR contacts to identify and capitalize on PR opportunities
  • Participate in prospecting activities to identify potential revenue opportunities that are in alignment with the companies ideal client profile
  • Adhere to management's approved messaging and branding standards; serve as the company's spokesperson with approval/when required
  • Track, report and measure PR results for PR programs
  • Collect and organize all PR placements for North America market

Write press release and maintain close relationship with people in targeted Media (25%)

  • Research, write and distribute press releases in major travel ads website, talking points and media materials, utilizing traditional and social media distribution channels to enhance awareness of our brand name
  • Research, develop and maintain target media lists in north America and editorial calendars for media outlets in the tourist and recreational industry
  • Proactively develop and cultivate positive relationships with journalists and editors in relevant media
  • Remain up to date on tourist industry news and trends; share learning with marketing and sales teams

Evaluate and utilize social media tool to develop new PR strategies(20%)

  • Utilize social marketing engagement tools, especially social media platform such as Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, etc. to drive brand awareness
  • Monitor the effectiveness of individual social media activities versus the company's overall social media vision
  • Educate PR and marketing team about the power of social media - demonstrate how and why social media works internally, and make it look fun and meaningful
  • Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities

Work with marketing team by sharing PR campaign and opportunities(15%)

  • Monitor clips and distribute to sales/marketing team and directly to customers in a timely manner
  • Keep marketing team informed about current and upcoming PR opportunities and placements
  • Obtain strategic direction from marketing team and implement social media campaigns in coordination with PR campaign
  • Develop and distribute e-newsletter targeted to end users to keep our company top of mind among consumers
  • Coordinate and participate in the creation and production of sales & marketing materials
  • Update corporate email database with new email contacts

Cooperate with Partner travel agencies in the U.S. and China to develop global PR strategy(5%)

  • Proactively develop and cultivate positive relationships with our partner agencies in the U.S. and overseas
  • Share PR plans, press releases, key learning/best practices and other relevant materials and information with agencies in Asian to ensure a cohesive and consistent global PR program for our brand

Plan and manage PR events as well as other relevant marketing events(5%)

  • Coordinate with special events, trade show PR/branding campaigns, editorial meetings, press conferences, and sponsorship events
  • Coordinate activities to enhance the public's awareness of the company
  • Attend sales meetings, trade shows, consumer shows, and PR events
  • Oversee maintenance of PR video/photo library and press clip binders
  • Provide departmental and administrative support as needed, presentation development, research, event staffing, etc.

Skills and Requirements

  • BS/BA in Marketing, PR or similar field Required
  • 2+ years' work experience in a public relations or marketing role with a retail or travel environment preferred
  • Have a passion for the travel industry
  • Proven strong PC skills, including MS Office applications and Internet search techniques
