Summary of The Day: We'll depart New York during the morning and head north while passing the beautiful Delaware Gap to Watkins Glen State Park to arrive in the heart of the Finger Lakes region. Walk through Watkins Glen State Park to visit the magnificent waterfalls. Next, we'll continue to Niagara Falls passing by Seneca Lake. We'll tour the American Side of the falls including Goat Island and Three Sisters Island. Take a night tour of Niagara Falls when you can truly appreciate the colorful illumination of the falls.
Summary of The Day: We'll continue touring the Niagara Falls area on the tour's second day. Experience the true magic by boarding the Maid of the Mist (available from April or May to late October depending on each year's weather conditions).
We'll leave Niagara Falls around noon and stop at the picturesque village of Niagara-on-the-Lake (from May to October only) before we continue to Toronto - the largest city in Canada. We'll visit Toronto City Hall, Ontario Parliament (Parliament only from June until end of August in 2016) and Eaton Centre. We'll depart Toronto during the late afternoon and travel east along Lake Ontario for an evening arrival in the Thousand Islands area.
During the winter, we will return to Niagara Falls for an overnight stay.
Summary of The Day: We will start the day with a cruise (from May to October only) through the amazing Thousand Islands along the St. Lawrence River. You'll see the mansions of the rich and famous built atop private islands. After the cruise, we'll head south to New York State. If it's during the month of April, we will spend the morning visiting the Welland Canal Locks that allow ships to traverse the Niagara Escarpment and avoid Niagara Falls. We'll stop for lunch in Niagara-on-the-Lake. After lunch, we head to New York State and stop at Crossings Premium Outlets in Tannersville, Pennsylvania on the way back to do some shopping. My family booked in advance from Israel (parents + 2 kids). The price is not cheap and you should not forget to bring the additional fees with you (attractions + driver/tour leader fee). It's not easy to calculate the cost paid on the bus. ...The tour was successful, and Vivian, our Chinese/ English tour leader did her best. The bus tour was relatively convenient. Recommend the pick-up at Parsippany, NJ(free parking, coffeshop/ supermarket). Weather was splendid (August 19th, 2013). Read full review
We booked from Germany and that was a really great tour, 3 persons. But we had to pay 190 USD for tickets per person and we had to pay 24 USD for guide and bus driver. So we had to pay 642 USD extra - pricing is not transparent. If you book... by internet this must be clear - we thought driver and guide is included. Great tour but price is not cheap!!
