We went for one night in Corcovado, and it's been amazing. Our tour guide Erik was FENOMENAL, he promised all the animals and we saw them (we know we got a little lucky, but that's something you have to account for). We recommend doing the 2days 1night tour, because we only saw the super interesting animals (anteater, tapir, sloth...) on the second day. The people who went with us only for one day didn't see any of these. We also saw 3 types of monkey, many birds, snakes, we even saw a tarantula. Sleeping in the jungle is an experience on its own. And we recommend asking the tour guide to take you to the primary forest, just make sure you borrow rubber boots in the ranger station. Gracias Erik, Chicos de la República Checa

Perfect group size with 4-6 people, entrance of boat is already an experience and you should not be afraid of becoming wet. With José we had an excellent, experienced and knowledgeable guide He listened to our intrest and made it an unforgettable trail. You need to be willing to accept basic accommodation and accept the risks of unpredictable weather (and handle heavy rain fall). This all makes it an incredible 2days.

We did a 2-day tour in August 2026 with our guide, Marlon, and we were extremely satisfied. Despite the rain and poor weather, Marlon showed us a huge number of animals. He was very attentive to our needs and preferences regarding what we wanted to see, and he was wonderfully ambitious about finding and showing us wildlife. His deep passion and fascination for the animals were truly contagious and completely captivated us. He was always eager to help us take pictures, capturing great photos for us through his telescope, and he explained fascinating details about the local flora and fauna. Throughout the tour, he was always considerate and tailored the pacing to our needs. The logistics and pickup worked out fine. We were picked up by boat and brought to the station, where we had all our meals and slept. Keep in mind that security checks are carried out before entering the park, so be sure to pack only the essentials and strictly follow park rules—meaning no outside food and no plastic water bottles or other plastic bottles allowed. The tour does require a certain level of physical fitness and can be quite tiring. You walk several kilometers through the park, and the tropical heat can feel crushing and exhausting. Combined with the rustic, open-air hostel vibe and the beds at Sirena Station—which take a little getting used to and aren't overly comfortable—it is definitely an adventure. (Tip: bringing earplugs and a sleep mask makes sleeping there much easier!) It is also important to keep in mind that during the rainy season, you have to expect rain. Since it rained about half the time during our stay, you naturally see noticeably fewer animals when the downpours happen. We would definitely recommend bringing at least one, or better yet two, changes of clothes in case you get caught in the rain. It is also essential to always carry your rain jacket in your backpack, as the rain at this time of year is truly unpredictable. Naturally, you should pack flip-flops to wear around the station as well as for the boat rides and transfers. Aside from that, high, waterproof hiking boots are also highly recommended. Despite the weather and the physical effort, we had an incredible experience and were so glad we booked the 2-day tour. If we had chosen a 1-day trip during this time of year and gotten unlucky with the rain, we probably wouldn't have seen nearly as many animals. Highly recommended!
