It was established in 1935 and contains Native American petroglyphs that are more than 3,000 years old. The 34,880-acre U.S. National Natural Landmark also features canyons, sand dunes, petrified wood and many interesting rock formations. Notable sites are Atlatl Rock, Elephant Rock, Fire Canyon Arch, Windstone Arch and a visitor center.

7-Day Summer Camping Tour from Las Vegas: Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Bryce Canyon and Rocky Mountain | Max 13 Small Group

I came alone. They paired me with another solo male for tent sharing – awkward at first, but we became friends. The guide checked in to make sure we were comfortable. Great for budget solo travel, but bring earplugs if you snore.

Valley of Fire State Park Day Tour | Max 13 Pax

Incredible Scenery and Great Day Out

The Valley of Fire State Park is absolutely stunning! The rock formations and colors are unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. Our guide was excellent, giving us fascinating details about the geology and history of the area. The day was very well-paced, with plenty of time for photos and hiking.
