Question 1

What is the best time of year to visit Rouen to avoid crowds and rain?

Accepted Answer

Visit Rouen between September and November for fewer tourists and lower rainfall. Summer months (June–August) are peak tourist season and can be crowded. The city’s maritime climate means rain is possible year-round, but late autumn sees the least precipitation. Spring (April–May) offers mild weather and blooming scenery, but expect higher visitor numbers during Easter and May holidays.

Tickets start at €25 if booked early. Alternatively, Flixbus offers low-cost coach service (about 2h) with stops near the city center. Pre-booking is recommended for best fares.
